Huddle: Data Management & Deletion
At Huddle, we believe you should have total control over your family’s information. We provide two distinct ways to manage your data depending on whether you want a fresh start on your device or a permanent removal from our ecosystem.
1. Reset Local Data (App Settings)
What it does: This option clears the cached data, login sessions, and temporary files stored locally on your specific mobile device.
Use Case: If the app is performing slowly or you want to log in with a different account on the same device.
The Result: Your data remains safe in the cloud. Once you log back in, your family’s calendars, tasks, and budgets will re-sync to your device.
How to perform: Navigate to Settings > Reset Local Data.
2. Delete All Data (Cloud + Device)
What it does: This is a permanent "forget me" action. It triggers the complete erasure of your account and all associated family data from our secure Supabase servers and your local device.
Use Case: You no longer wish to use Huddle and want all your family’s information (including health logs, budgets, and devotionals) permanently deleted.
The Result: This action is irreversible. Once confirmed, your data cannot be recovered.
How to perform: 1. Open Huddle and go to Settings. 2. Select Delete All Data (Cloud + Device). 3. Confirm the prompt.
Our Hard Delete Commitment At Huddle, "Delete" means Permanent. When you select Delete All Data (Cloud + Device), we perform a "Hard Delete" on our servers. This means your family’s records are physically purged from our databases and storage buckets. We do not retain "shadow copies" or "archived versions" of your family’s private life. Once the process is complete, the data is unrecoverable.
Requesting Deletion via Web
If you have already uninstalled the App and wish to request the deletion of your data remotely, please follow the steps below:
Send an email to admin@openitservices.com.au from the email address associated with your Huddle account.
Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request - [Your Name].
Our team will verify your identity and process the deletion of all cloud-hosted data within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete.
Data Types Subject to Deletion
When you choose "Delete All Data," the following categories are purged:
Personal Info: Name, email, and authentication records.
Family Content: Shared calendars, tasks, lists, and recipes.
Financial Data: All records within the budget tracker.
Wellness Data: All fitness logs and cycle tracking history.
AI History: Any saved prompts or generated content.
Note: If you are the "Family Admin," deleting your data may affect the access levels of other members in your family group. We recommend coordinating with your family before performing a total cloud deletion.
