Privacy Policy for Huddle

Welcome to Huddle ("we," "our," or "us"), a family organization and wellness application developed by Open Solutions Group. We are committed to protecting the privacy of your household. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and stored when you use the Huddle mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

To provide a synchronized and secure experience, we collect the following categories of data:

Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials (via Supabase).

Family Data: Information regarding your family structure and member profiles.

User-Generated Content: Tasks, calendar events, grocery lists, budgets, recipes, and devotionals.

Wellness & Health Data (Optional): Metrics manually input by the user, such as activity logs and menstrual cycle dates. This data is strictly informational.

Location Data (Foreground Only): If enabled for family sharing, the App accesses your precise location only while the App is open and in use. We do not track location in the background.

Technical Data: Device type, OS version, and crash logs to ensure App performance.

2. Data Retention Policy

We do not store your data indefinitely. We retain your information only for the following durations:

Active Accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account remains active to provide continuous synchronization across your family’s devices.

Inactivity: Accounts that show no login activity for a period of 24 consecutive months will be scheduled for deletion. We will notify you via your registered email address 30 days prior to purging the data.

Deleted Content: Individual items (like a completed task or a deleted budget entry) are removed from our active database immediately upon your action.

Backups: For security and disaster recovery, encrypted backups of our database are maintained for 30 days. Data within these backups is permanently overwritten on a rolling 30-day cycle.

3. Data Deletion & Your Rights

We provide a clear path for you to manage and remove your family's information:

Reset Local Data: You may clear cached data from your device at any time via Settings. This does not affect cloud-stored data.

Hard Delete (Account Closure): You can trigger a permanent deletion of your entire account and all associated family data through the "Delete All Data (Cloud + Device)" option in the App Settings.

Effect of Deletion: Once a Hard Delete is requested, all records are purged from our production servers. This action is irreversible, and the data cannot be recovered.

4. Medical Disclaimer & Health Data

Huddle is an organizational tool, not a medical provider.

Non-Medical Use: Wellness features are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice or diagnosis.

No Third-Party Sharing: Health-related data is never sold to data brokers or used for advertising purposes.

5. Children’s Privacy & Families Policy

Huddle is designed for use by the whole family under parental supervision.

Parental Control: Accounts must be created by an adult. The "Kids Preset" in management settings allows parents to restrict features for younger users.

Compliance: We comply with the Google Play Families Policy and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without the explicit setup and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We only share data with essential infrastructure providers:

Supabase: Secure cloud hosting and authentication.

RevenueCat: Subscription management and entitlement verification.

Google Play Store: Payment processing and app distribution.
